Who is responsible
This site is run by Fathom Advisory Inc., a federally incorporated Canadian company. If you have a question about anything on this page, or you want a copy of what was collected about your visit, write to hello@youcanfathom.com and I will answer it myself.
Analytics
The site uses PostHog to measure usage. On each visit it records the pages you view, how far down each page you read, the links and buttons you click, your browser and device type, the site or search that referred you, and your IP address, which PostHog turns into an approximate city-level location. Requests reach PostHog through this site's own domain, so nothing in your browser talks to a third-party address.
PostHog also records a replay of the visit: a reconstruction of what moved on screen, so I can see where a page confused someone. Every form input is masked before the recording leaves your browser, which means the name, email, company, and message you type are never captured in a replay. Replays are deleted automatically after 30 days.
PostHog Inc. processes and stores this data in the United States. It is not used for advertising, it is not sold or shared, and there is no cross-site tracking here.
The contact form
If you fill in the contact form, the name, email, company, and message you send are stored by Netlify, which hosts this site, and forwarded to me by email. I use them to reply to you and to keep track of the conversation. Nothing you type into that form goes into the analytics or into a session replay.
Cookies and local storage
PostHog sets a first-party cookie so a return visit is counted as the same person rather than a new one. It holds a random identifier and nothing else. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers on this site.
Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, this site honours it automatically and no analytics are collected. You do not have to do anything else.

Use the button below to opt out in this browser. The setting is stored locally on your device, so you will need to set it again in another browser or after clearing your site data.
